In the past Belgian radio station Studio Brussel, StuBru in short, used to regularly air songs from Live. Since Live’s hiatus and its short stint with Chris Shinn I have noticed a major decrease in number of times songs from Live get played on StuBru. I’m not even sure if they have ever played anything from The Turn or Local 717. They also did not spent much time on the 25th anniversary of Throwing Copper, it was tucked away on a Saturday morning while albums from other bands celebrating their 25th anniversary got more attention on weekdays during the morning and evening rush hours and during the day.

Since 1985 StuBru has a hit list called De Afrekening, it’s a weekly hit list from 30 records completely assembled by the audience. Each week the audience can send in their own top 3 of songs. These votes get gathered and will make up the chart. Nowadays the hit list is broadcast on Saturday mornings from 10 AM to 12 PM CET.

Now my goal is to get some more airtime for Live on StuBru. What’s better than using the power of social media to reach out to every Live fan in the world to help and get Hold Me Up into De Afrekening? Because the website from StuBru appears to be a single language website, Dutch only, I’ll visually explain how to vote.

1. go to the voting website, this is the link https://stubru.be/music/stemvoordeafrekening and you’ll get to a page looking like the below screenshot.
   
   
   
   
2. when scrolling down you’ll see a section appear like the one from the below screenshot.
   
   
   
   
3. When you type “Live” into the text field where it says “Zoek naar jouw favoriet nummer” (Search for your favourite number) it is likely that it wont find Hold Me Up. The screen will show something like the screenshot below. In this example it finds the song Hunt from Oliver tree. In case it does find Hold Me Up from Live you can select it.
   
   
   
   
4. In case Hold Me Up was not found you can still add it where it says “Niet gevonden? Voeg je nummer zelf even toe:” (Not found? Add your number yourself), in the text field reading “Artiest” (Artist) you fill in “Live” where it says “Nummer” (Number) you fill in “Hold Me Up”.
   
   
   
   
5. Click on the button reading “Toevoegen” (Add). And it will get added below “Jouw 3 favorieten” (Your 3 favourites). Like in screenshot below.
   
   
   
   
6. For numbers 2 and 3 of your favourite you can repeat steps 2 and if needed step 4.
7. In case you need some inspiration, in the above screenshots there is a line reading “Check de huidige lijst” (Check the current list}, it is a hyperlink to the charts from the previous weeks. You’ll end up on a page like the one from the screenshot below. Except for the first block all blocks point to the chart from one of the previous weeks.
   
   
   
   
8. As soon as you have selected your 3 favourite numbers the form slightly changes like in the below screenshot. It asks for your credentials. “Voornaam” = First name, “Familienaam” = Surname, “E-mailadres” = Email address, “Telefoon” = telephone (in case they want to contact you on air about your top 3). Unless you understand Dutch uncheck “Ik schrijf mij in op de nieuwsbrief” (I subscribe to the newsletter).
   
   
   
   
9. Click on the button “Inzenden” to submit your personal top 3. After doing that the site will confirm your top 3 like in the screenshot below for me. With the social media buttons you can share your top 3 on Facebook and Twitter.
   
   

Hopefully when enough of us Live fans submit Hold Me Up we can get it into the De Afrekening chart.
